Thanks Alex. I had forgotten.
According to the green home standards, we get one point if the toilets have at least 350 grams per flush.
These "bad boys" have a MaP rating of 900 so we are good.
There will be no need for double flushing with these toilets.

My family loves this community that we are building in. Everyday we go out there just to see the fox squirrels, red headed woodpeckers, hawks, deer and bats. I only hope that they will stick around after construction.

Hey, Chad: I'm a student at TCC, where I'm currently enrolled in an Environmental Systems class. We have a group project centering around an environmental issue due right after the Thanksgiving break, and my group and I are doing ours on green building.

We stumbled across your blog wile doing research (via google, I'm afraid), and we were hoping that we could incorporate you and your quest to build green into our project. Would you consider consenting to a video interview sometime before Thanksgiving? I know that that's a busy time for everyone, but we would love to talk to you about building standards, why being green is so important to you, and the roadbumps that inevitably come up in any home construction project.

Do you not use concrete block framing up there? We have no 2x4 framing except on the 2nd story. Ours is all block construction with 2x1" strips to hang the dry wall to the inside of exterior walls.
